It’s a little known fact that Terry Grant, a.k.a. Mantracker, modern day cowboy star of the hit reality show, Mantracker, grew up in the Avening/Creemore area and attended high school at Stayner Collegiate Institute.  Shooting for Season Six of Mantracker is already under way, and Mantracker will continue to pit his tracking, guiding and wilderness skills against those of his prey in 2011.  If you’re wondering how a young man who left home in Avening  back in 1976 became the internationally recognized TV reality show star, Mantracker, then come out on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 to hear Mantracker himself share the story of his journey to success.

Terry will give you some background about his family and upbringing in this area, then talk about how he ended up in Alberta.  You will hear about the ranches where he worked and honed his horsemanship skills, tales of his adventures as a big game hunting guide, and how he helped found Southern Alberta Search and Rescue.  He’ll answer the most often asked questions about how he became Mantracker, the Mantracker show itself, and how his success has led him to discover opportunities to speak about his life and subsequently benefit many communities across Canada.  He will then open the floor to questions about tracking, horses, the country he has had the opportunity to see, Search and Rescue, and any other questions about the show itself. 

After the presentation, Terry will be available for autographs.
